Team Joker Bianchi is a UCI continental team (Europe Tour) registered in Norway. The team was founded in 2005. Maxbo and Bianchi was the main sponsors the three first years, but Maxbo was replaced by Joker before the 2008-season.  The nine riders are directed by a full time Sports Director, and have ever since the beginning dominated Norwegian cycling. The main office is situated in Oslo, Norway.

The Norwegian company, Interspons AS is the owner of the team.

Young talented 2010-squad

The successful Norwegian continental team, Joker Bianchi, looks forward to the 2010 season with a young but very talented squad.

Since the beginning in 2005 the Norwegian team has recruited five riders to international Pro Continental or Pro Tour teams, and has more riders knocking on the door to the highest level of cycling.

-Edvald Boasson Hagen(2008) to T-mobile (Now Team Sky).
-Lars Petter Nordhaug(2009) to Team Sky.

-Alexander kristoff(2009) to BMC.

Building up new riders
- With tree riders off after last season, we had to find new talented riders. And as Norway discover a strong tail wind when it comes to cycling these days, there are a lot of exciting names out there, says sports director Gino Van Oudenhove. The Belgian sports director (married in Norway) has been working with Norwegian cycling during the last two decades, and has been the sports director of the team since the beginning in 2005.

-We have been following the tree new riders for a while, and have seen how they have developed in their former clubs or teams, says Van Oudenhove.

Still a lot of routine

Even with three riders with a lot of routine off, there are still strong riders left at the team. Stian Remme and Christer Rake are riders which have shown very good results the last seasons. Both riders were representing Norway in the worlds in Mendrisio(Rake finishing no. 12 at the U23 road race). Another important and strong rider on the team is Svein Erik Vold. Vold has been part of the team since the beginning, and his routine will be more important than ever: - With the loss of radio communication in all cat. 2 races, Vold’s role will be more central than before, says Van Oudenhove.

-I have a really good feeling before the season start, and I really believe that we still will be able to be represented on the top of the overall classifications in major European stage races, says Van Oudenhove.
